I've had the opportunity of covering the @crossfitgames on the media team for the past 7 years and this year we absolutely crushed it. This year was also the most challenging for me physically because I was usually chasing athletes through the hills in Aromas, at the beach in Redondo or on the soccer field at the stub hub. Believe me my fitness was tested, thanks @crossfit. Can't wait to share what's coming soon. 5 @reddigitalcinema, 2 @freeflysystems, 1 @sonyalpha. #chasingthefittest in the bottom lane on the #shuttlesprint with @freeflysystems #M5

I started doing CrossFit media back in 2010 at a sectional event in Utah that @brookeence was competing at. I was there to show support for my girlfriend but also try and get footy of her competing. Somehow I was introduced to @hebercannon – CrossFit’s first field producer. I ended up assisting Heber throughout that weekend and in return he put me in contact with the higher ups at HQ. Fast forward to the fall of 2011 and both Heber and I moved to California to go all in on the sport of fitness. We somehow made a dozen post production shows that year that ran on ESPN and sparked the fire for what was to come. I eventually got the oportunity to show off my wife’s capabiities by putting her on camera in the Open Demo videos. Turns out she was really fit and by 2015 we we’re featuring her in the first “Fittest on Earth” Documentary. Heber and I worked together over the years constantly pushing each other to tell the stories of the fittest humans on the planet. This lead to countless YouTube videos, a Road to the Games series and best selling iTunes documentaries. We’ve been embedded in the CrossFit community for the past 9 years and it’s been one hell of a learning experience that I won’t take for granted. However, as of yesterday I’ve parted ways with CrossFit HQ because they’ve decided to take the company in a different direction. It’s hard to not feel some disappointment because I got to see the whole thing grow from a couple of dudes making fitness videos into what it is now. With that said I’m more confident than ever in my abilities as a filmmaker/storyteller. CrossFit forced me to take on projects that seemed very daunting at first but very rewarding in the end. I got to work in an office with my best friends and make videos that inspired people to pursue a healthier lifestyle. Heber and I are a team and now we get to pursue whatever stories we want and that fires me up. Right now I'm in Brazil with Brooke taking time to reflect on these past 9 years and figure out what's next. Thank you to everyone that's reached out and shown they're support, I'm very grateful to be part of this community. #freeagent
